About Portugal |
| Portugal´s
most popular destination by far
is the Algarve. A lush region
full of mountains traversed with
rich valleys. Its highest point
is the Mountain range of Monchique,
with a maximum altitude of 906m.
The Algarve is a popular destination
for tourism, primarily because
of its clean, warm water beaches,
Mediterranean climate, safety
and relatively low costs. The
length of the south-facing coastline
is approximately 155 kilometers.

| Portugal
is located in southwestern Europe,
west parts of the Iberian Peninsula,
and is the westernmost country
in continental Europe. Portugal
is bordered by Spain to the
north and east and by the Atlantic
Ocean to the west and south.
Portugal is split in two by
its main river, the Tagus. Northern
landscape is mountainous in
the interior areas with plateaus,
cut by four breaking lines that
allow the development of relevant
agricultural areas.

| The
South area of Portugal between
the Tejo and the Algarve is
called the Alentejo. This is
made up of mostly flat plains
and enjoys a climate warmer
and drier than the rainier north.
The Algarve, separated from
the Alentejo by mountains, enjoys
a Mediterranean climate comparable
with Morocco or Southern Spain.
Also part of Portugal is the
islands of the Azores and Madeira
which are located in the Mid-Atlantic
Ridge. We have property throughout
Portugal for sale.
